WHAT IS MTS?
The Ministry Training School (MTS) is a two-year program designed for those who want to be more effective in the ministry of their local church and out in the real world. We offer a hands-on approach to training, as students spend time both in the classroom and in internships.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The MTS training plan is focused on giving students the opportunity to apply the knowledge they are gaining. Therefore, MTS has developed a program that revolves around 4 key components: Classroom, Worship, Outreach, and Internships.
THE MISSION
The mission of TFC Ministry Training School is to develop leaders within the Body of Christ to go out and reach this generation. We believe that by attending TFC.MTS, the Holy Spirit will help students find their place and calling in the Body of Christ.
MTS CURRICULUM
The MTS curriculum is focused on giving students a comprehensive knowledge regarding both theological and practical aspects of ministry. Thus, students will learn theological truths such as theology of the trinity, prayer, spiritual authority, and more. They will learn practical ministry skills such as evangelism, children's ministry, pastoral insights, and youth ministry.
CORPORATE WORSHIP
Community and accountability are vital to the spiritual life of any believer, and the Ministry Training School strives to ensure that students are actively involved both in the life of the local church and in relationship with other believers. Thus, MTS requires the attendance of corporate worship every week. This may include worship at a local church, a lifegroup meeting or Bible study. The ultimate goal is that students stay connected with the Body of Christ at large and continue to worship in a thriving community of believers.
MTS OVERVIEW
There are 6, 12-week semesters through the 2-year program. Classes are scheduled on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm-9:00 pm. It is critical that students do their best to attend these classes.
AN INSPIRATIONAL CLASSROOM
Along with the wonderful teaching of Kelly Warren and others, we will be bringing in speakers to teach on the topics that relate to their experience, passion and anointing. This process of combining experienced leaders with topics that are close to their hearts engenders powerpacked classes where students not only learn the curriculum but also receive an impartation.
HANDS-ON INTERNSHIP
The Ministry Training School is well aware that equipping for the ministry can not be limited to a classroom, but ministry must be love in action! During the second year program, students will be encouraged to put their love for God and others into action through various internships through out the church, Plainview community, and the world!
SECOND YEAR
Year 2 focuses on giving the students the opportunity to see the inner-workings of several church ministries. MTS provides a rotation of the different ministries. The student will have the opportunity to specialize in one specific internship area that they feel is connected with their ministry calling. Students will be assigned a mentor who will oversee their selected ministry.
